Having Fun on the Web

I've been wanting to play with building a website up from first principles. Just sling some raw HTML on an ftp server and grow from there. Relearn CSS, do a little PHP, maybe play with SVG files and animate something for fun.

The more AI garbage I see out there, the more I want to make things by hand. I guess there's some nostalgia at play, too. I miss the old days of geocities and simple, hand-made websites, quirks and all.
